Ayo Owodunni is a City Councillor in Kitchener, Ontario, a management consultant, and a keynote speaker, with over 13 years of experience in leadership, coaching, training, and strategic consulting.

With his unique blend of deep subject matter expertise, personal anecdotes, and a touch of humor, Ayo is known for dismantling barriers, improving communication, and catalyzing transformative change.

Ayo is also a respected author, with two influential books: Values, Culture, Period – Redefining the Value of Values to Drive Business Results, Inclusive Leadership: The Immigrant View – Helping Immigrants Thrive and Soar in Your Organization. He is passionate about sharing his immigrant experience and providing actionable advice to newcomers. His radio segments on CBC and CityNews Kitchener have offered guidance to many immigrants navigating their journey in Canada.

He holds a Master of Business, Entrepreneurship, and Technology (MBET) from the University of Waterloo, a Life Coaching Certification, and a Certificate in Adult Education from George Brown College. Ayo is actively involved in his community, sitting on the Board of Governors for St. Jerome’s University (University of Waterloo), as well as serving on several organizational boards including KW Multicultural Centre, Immigrant Networks, Brilliant Minds Group International, and Emergency Response Africa.

Additionally, he has served as a mentor for the YMCA Mentorship Program, appeared on CBC KW Radio segments, and is the Founder and Co-Host of *The Immigrant View* podcast, aimed at helping immigrants thrive in Canada. Ayo is also on the board of the Kitchener Center Electoral District Association. He serves as the chair of membership.

He currently serves on several committees at the city, including the Economic Development Advisory Committee, Animal Designation Appeal Committee, Dog Designation Appeal Committee, and the Huron Natural Area Joint Ventures Committee.

Ayo is a devoted husband and father of two lovely children.
